Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Hit Like a Gurl was Founded by Bronx native, Suki. Known for her high - intensity, kick-ass, exhilarating workouts she turned her adversity and past traumas into a positive when she started as a kickboxing/boxing coach. She found her purpose in teaching other women how to box. With an extensive background in training and coaching, she creates a training environment that not only motivates but also empowers women to continually challenge themselves in a fun and rewarding way.

 

When she's not coaching individual classes and group sessions she's planning nationwide events to inspire and motivate women everywhere. Jennifer of Ambitionista Media is the Cofounder and brand partner and has joined her on a mission to raise awareness of domestic violence, spread positivity and be possibility models for women and teens

Suzana Komonaj
Founder

Bronx- native, Suki, encompasses the strength of her city. Suki is known for her high - intensity, kick-ass, exhilarating workouts. From a young age , she could be found breaking down in dance class, shooting baskets on the basketball court , or in a  boxing ring. Although she had many talents , she was faced with a lot of adversity growing up. Suki went through poverty and domestic violence most her child hood and teen years. Suki took her misfortunes and turned it into a positive when she started as a kickboxing/boxing coach. She found her purpose in teaching other women how to box. With an extensive background in training and coaching, she creates a training environment that not only motivates but also empowers women to continually challenge themselves in a fun and rewarding way.

Jennifer Ortiz
CoFounder

Jennifer Ortiz is a New York native with a passion for facilitating and mentoring women and youth of all ages. She has an extensive background in tech, media and marketing and brings her passion for connecting people and allowing women to share their stories of failure, successes, and moments of empowerment and strength to Hit Like a Gurl. Having had close friends and family members that have been victims of domestic violence she brings awareness to helps amplify and uplift.
